Italy is not improving

Remaining only among the Italians, domestic food waste is quantified in 674.2 grams per capita per year at a cost of 9.2 billion.

Already very high figures to which i must be added 6.4 billion attributed to wasted energy to produce foodas well as water and other resources and which brings waste to the total figure of 15.6 billion a year.

South Africa and Japan are the best countries

Of the nine countries considered, South Africa and Japan are the most virtuous countries of all because in their homes about half is wasted compared to Italy. As far as Europe alone is concerned, however, France the most virtuous country.

On food waste, the United States beats everyone

Germany and the UK lead the way in the old continent among the worst even if it is up to the United States to have the blackest shirt with 1338 grams of food thrown away per weeka figure without comparison compared to other countries.

Negative numbers also in Brazil where they are wasted 794 grams of food per capita per weekalthough considering that it is one of the largest states in the world, its 4th place overall in the domestic waste hit does not make it look bad.
