Kuumaa band’s gig was prematurely canceled on Friday evening. The band performed at Umpituneli restaurant in Tornio to a full house.
The band thanked their fans for their understanding on Instagram. On Saturday, the Kuumaa members explained to the fans more about what caused the cancellation of the concert.
– Our keyboardist Okko got food poisoning during yesterday’s gig, but luckily we managed to play the gig almost to the end. Everything is wonderful and the journey continues towards Inari, the band informs in the stories section of Instagram.
Vocalist Johannes Brotherusdrummer Jonttu Luhtavaara and bassist Aarni Soivio form the band Kuumaa, and Okko Saastamoinen plays keyboards at the gigs.
The band, which has become very popular, is currently touring Lapland. The concert calendar will keep the band busy at least until the end of the summer.
This year they competed for the fifth place at UMK with a song Overpowered. Finland is going to represent Finland with his song Käärijä Cha Cha Cha.
The Kuumaa band had a hard time last year as well: the band performed at the sold-out Tavastia at the end of the year, toured festival stages, collected Emma nominations and played at the top of the radio charts.
Kuumaa won the band of the year award at the Emma gala.
