Food alert for nuts in dark chocolate from Spain

The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (aesan) has warned of the presence of undeclared almonds in different dark chocolates from Spain.

The body attached to Ministry of Consumption has issued a Press release within which it is explained that said ingredient is not specified in the labelled of the product, which is dark chocolate with no added sugar in a 125-gram and 300-gram presentation, of different brands and batches, which contains the almond allergen not included on the label.

As a precautionary measure, it is recommended that people who have some type of allergy or intolerance to almonds refrain from consuming the aforementioned product. However, the consumption of this producer does not carry any risk for the rest of the population that does not have an allergy or intolerance to this dry fruit, Aesan specifies.
