On April 12, the band shared a short instrumental snippet of the song on social media, which has now been released in its entirety. The new piece goes from “anger and sadness to serenity and acceptance, and countless points in between,” according to a press release. The newly announced and eleventh studio album by the group around singer Dave Grohl is “the first chapter of the band’s new life” and “a brutally honest and emotionally raw answer to everything that [die Band] went through in the last year”.

Hawkins’ death came as a surprise. The then 50-year-old collapsed during his band’s tour in Colombia and could not be resuscitated. The band canceled the tour but announced later that year that they would continue. Who will follow Hawkins on the drums is still open, speculation is in full swing. Atom Willard and Matt Cameron were last traded as live drummers.

The new record will be released on June 2nd. The track listing:

01. Rescue
02. “Under You”
03. “Hearing Voices”
04. But Here We Are
05. “The Glass”
06. “Nothing At All”
07. “Show Me How”
08. “Beyond Me”
09. “The Teacher”
10. “rest”
