Foo Fighters and Jack Black cover AC/DC (video)

At a concert in New Zealand there was a version of “Big Balls” by the Foo Fighters and Jack Black.

The Foo Fighters and Jack Black covered AC/DC together. At a concert in Auckland, New Zealand, the band brought the musician and actor on stage. Together they played the song “Big Balls” by the Australian hard rock group. It’s common for the Foo Fighters to play covers live.

Long history with Jack Black

It wasn’t the artists’ first collaboration. Black played in the music videos for the Foo Fighters songs “Learn To Fly” (1999) and “Low” (2003). Conversely, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl played Satan in “Tenacious D In The Pick Of Destiny” by Blacks band Tenacious D. The musicians, who were private friends, were also increasingly together on stage. They have even played AC/DC before: in 2002 at the “MTV’S New Year’s Pajama Party” they covered “Back In Black”.

Foo Fighters: No Germany date

The performance in Auckland was the start of this year’s tour. After the dates in New Zealand, the Foo Fighters will go to the USA, and in June and July there will be a detour to Europe. However, the musicians around Dave Grohl are not coming to Germany; There are only concerts in Great Britain and a few festival shows in France, Poland, Denmark and Belgium. With the tour, the band is promoting the album BUT HERE WE ARE, which was released in June 2023. It is the first major tour with new drummer Josh Freese, who replaces long-time drummer Taylor Hawkins, who died in 2022.
