Focus can continue to dream of the EMEA League: By winning the play-ins of the EMEA League Ascension, the international Valorant team is in the main round.
In the final of the qualifying tournament, the Valorant pros defeated the Turkish esports team from S2G Esports 3-1. In a largely balanced game, Focus was particularly convincing on the second Map Split and the fourth Map Haven (13:4 each).
For Focus, it’s a step up into the Valorant elite. In 2022, the organization’s roster was still playing at the Challengers against Fnatic and Team Liquid. When you didn’t get a place in the EMEA League, you restarted with a new team and a new league.
Focus qualified for the EMEA Ascension qualifier as the 2nd best team in the VCL Northern Europe: Polaris, which features teams from Scandinavia, Great Britain and Ireland.
As a play-in winner, Focus now takes on the regional champions of the VCL at Ascension, including DACH champions CGN Esports and former Masters winner Asced. Mouz, also in the play-ins, failed in the group stage.
