A fire broke out on Thursday evening during cleaning work in an industrial building on Schlitzer Strasse in Berlin-Wittenau.

Around 7:00 p.m., sparks were generated during the cleaning work, which started the fire. Dangerous substances are stored in the company.

The fire brigade was on site with 52 emergency services – special forces were also there. One person is said to have been injured in the accident. There should not have been any danger to the population.

The police and the State Office for Occupational Safety and Health (LAGETSI) are investigating the fire.
