Flowers were laid on Sunday after the fatal accident on the Oude Bredasebaan in Chaam. A four-year-old child and a baby were killed in the accident on Saturday. The mother of the family and her third child were seriously injured.
Flowers have now been laid at the spot where it went wrong. It is not known who put them there.
It is still unclear how the accident happened. Police are investigating the cause of the incident, but say no other traffic was involved.
“The driver’s statement is of great importance in this regard,” a police spokesperson emphasized earlier today. But given her health and the dramatic situation that has unfolded, that interrogation will not take place until later.
