Anna Nusse and Isa Jouwsma, students of Terra Emmen VO, just missed out on victory during Skills the finals in RAI Amsterdam. The duo won the silver medal in the category Flower arrangements.
As an assignment, the participants had to make a bridal bouquet and a hair accessory and that went well for the Emmer students. The talented VMBO students are proud of their second place. “Very cool to finish second in the Netherlands. And a very nice experience that we would not have wanted to miss,” Nusse responds enthusiastically.
Greta van Klinken, teacher of the two girls, is also happy: “I am very proud of the girls. They have really delivered a fine piece of craftsmanship. They stood head and shoulders above the rest, especially when working together under pressure of time.”
Skills Talents are national team competitions for final year VMBO students. Participating students get a stage here to show their talents. The win went to Aniek Kootstra and Indiana Hiemstra of Aeres vmbo Heerenveen.
