Florian Schnorrenberg takes over as coach at VfB Lübeck

Ex-Halle coach

VfB Lübeck introduced a new head coach a good two and a half weeks after Lukas Pfeiffer was released. Florian Schnorrenberg will take over the position until the end of the season; his contract will be extended if he stays in the third division. Schnorrenberg most recently worked as a scout at Union Berlin, and before that he was head coach at Halleschen FC.

“He knows the 3rd league in depth and recently proved in Halle that he can stabilize a team in a critical phase and then move it forward,” said VfB sports director Sebastian Harms, justifying Schnorrenberg’s commitment. “In our detailed discussions, we immediately found a common, profound level regarding our ideas about the sporting orientation, our leadership models and our understanding of values.” Bastian Reinhardt, Arvid Schenk and Gianluca Fraternali remain in the team as assistants.
