Finland’s national floorball team returned to winning ways after a terrible loss to Switzerland at the World Championships. Finland beat Norway 7–2 in the last match of the preliminary group.
The match was definitely not easy for the blue and white early favorites, as Norway still led 1–0 after the first set.
In the second round Justus Kainulainen however, started Finland’s attack quickly with his equalizing goal, and after that the team took the lead with two underpowered goals.
Norway narrowed even further, but Finland was able to stretch the gap beyond reach. At the end Joona Rantala scored the first World Cup goal of his career.
Kainulainen and Sami Johansson scored two goals in the match.
Finland’s final ranking in the first group will be determined later in the evening in the match between Switzerland and Slovakia. A group win is still possible.
