Flood area at Colliepond Creek to avoid flooding
The area will be able to buffer 20.00 m3 of water. The construction fits in with the Water Action Plan that is being rolled out together with the province. This plan was drawn up after the heavy flooding in 2016 and Roeselare wants to arm itself against this as much as possible in the future.
In dry periods, the buffer basin will serve as a water collection point for farmers and horticulturists.
