New chaos at BER airport! Numerous flights are canceled on Wednesday morning or are significantly delayed.
Twelve flights were canceled from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., 13 take off or land in Berlin with a delay of more than 30 minutes to two hours.
The main reason is a software problem in the control center of the German air traffic control in Langen (Hesse). It controls the lower airspace in central Germany. Therefore, flights to and from Cologne, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Stuttgart are particularly affected.
In addition, as in the past few days, there are several short-term flight cancellations at Lufthansa, Eurowings and Easyjet. The airlines cited a lack of staff as the reason.
