The fronts between FC Barcelona and Marc-André Ter Stegen are hardened. The club gives the goalkeeper another clear sign.
The dispute between Marc-André Ter Stegen and FC Barcelona goes into the next round. As the Spanish television broadcaster TV3 reports, the German national goalkeeper is his office as captain of the team.
Barça trainer and compatriot Hansi Flick should take the captain’s armband at the request of the association, it is said. He is seen as not suitable to continue to be part of the captain’s group, writes TV3. The background is the procedure against the 33-year-old opened by the association.
After his back operation, the long-standing goalkeeper apparently refuses to sign a declaration of consent, through which the Catalans are likely to forward the injury and operating report to the Medical Commission of the Spanish league. Without the report, the league cannot judge how severe the goalkeeper’s violation is. Barcelona is said to have switched on his legal department, there could be internal sanctions.
Ter Stegen, who was last degraded to number three in the club, had quantified his downtime due to the operation in an Instagram contribution with “about three months”. He might also want to set a club policy sign: Barcelona may only use 80 percent of his salary for registering new players if Ter Stegen fails for at least four months.
An independent forecast is to be drawn up by the Medical Commission of the Spanish League. Spicy: Newcomer Joan García, who is supposed to replace Ter Stegen as number one in the club, is still waiting for his gaming license because of the club’s financial problems.
Ter Stegen’s contract at Barcelona runs until 2028. With a view to the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Mexico and Canada, he is dependent on a regular place.
