Flemish Veronique (55) lives in Morocco: “We still sleep outside. The fear of aftershocks is simply too great”

“Suddenly the walls of our house started shaking. We walked outside immediately. There was panic everywhere. People were screaming, children were crying,” says Flemish Veronique Henckaerts (55). She has lived in Morocco for eight years and has never experienced such a large earthquake before. “One of my husband’s best friends lost his entire family.”
