The Bureau of the Flemish Parliament will abolish the favorable pension scheme for members of parliament. This was decided after PVDA announced today that a scheme has existed in the Flemish Parliament since 2004 to pay pensions up to 20 percent above the ceiling. For example, Flemish members of parliament can also receive a bonus of 1,500 euros on top of the legal maximum of 7,813 euros gross.
