Flemish-Palestinian Fatena (49) is stuck in a hospital in Gaza: “We hear people dying and sleeping on the stairs”

“We don’t need water or bread, the war must stop.” The Flemish-Palestinian poet Fatena Al Ghorra (49) is sheltering with thousands of others in a hospital in Gaza. There is hardly any food and water and there is a threat of epidemics. In an exclusive testimony she talks about the daily horror. Bombs fall up to 30 meters from the hospital. “I’m trying to stay strong by distracting my nieces and nephews from the horror, but I’m exhausted.”
