Flemish nurse on holiday helps out in hospitals: "Many didn’t stand a chance in their sleep”

“It was as if the houses were lifted up.” Antwerp resident Jesse Delien (32) is on holiday in Morocco and experienced the panic and chaos after the earthquake. He then volunteered as a nurse at the Ouarzazate hospital to care for the wounded. “This is a disaster. Anyone who has lost their house in the Atlas Mountains has lost everything. Fortunately, there is a lot of solidarity.”
