Flemish minister Demir and Flemish agency react indignantly to tampering with EPC labels in ‘Fact checkers’

The Flemish Energy and Climate Agency (VEKA) is stunned after seeing the images in the VRT program ‘Factcheckers’ in which four energy performance certificates with three different labels (B, C and D) were drawn up for the same home. Energy experts cheat to give a home a more favorable EPC. They risk a fine and even a suspension. Flemish Minister of Energy Zuhal Demir (N-VA) is also indignant. “The EPC is not a piece of paper,” he says.
