Just before 3.30 pm, one of the rally cars in the rue Alphonse Nicolas, between Bas-Oha and Wanzoul, came into the public eye. Several spectators were hit by the car. Two people were killed and several other spectators were injured. The pilot and co-pilot of the car were also injured.
