Flemish housing guarantee should help young families to buy their own home more quickly

At the proposal of Flemish Minister of Housing Matthias Diependaele (N-VA), the Flemish government is introducing a new measure that annually supports up to 5,000 young Flemish families in the purchase or construction of their first home. The Flemish government will provide a guarantee for the so-called “first time buyers” on the loan above 90 percent of the value of the home. This should make it easier for young buyers with less input to obtain a loan.
