Flemish government split without nitrogen agreement: Jambon makes CD&V ultimate proposal with additional concessions, but “CD&V has already said no”

The ultimate nitrogen consultation of the Flemish government has failed. Despite additional concessions from N-VA and Open Vld to CD&V, the Christian Democrats have informed Prime Minister Jan Jambon that the “ultimate proposal” is not sufficient for them. Belga has heard this from a good source. “Jambon tries to put the ball in our court, but we have already said no. The ball remains in Jambon’s court to reach a better agreement. If they want us out, they just have to look for an alternative majority with Groen and Vooruit,” it sounds.
