The Flemish budget deficit this year amounts to 2.65 billion euros, which is 276 million euros better than the Flemish government had previously estimated. This is evident from the estimate proposed by the Social and Economic Council of Flanders (SERV) on Monday. Nevertheless, challenges remain, warns the SERV: the announced reactivation and reform of the European budgetary framework forces all governments in our country to make clear agreements about who will make what budgetary efforts.
