The Flemish budget went into the red for 2.4 billion in 2021. That is almost 1.8 billion euros less than the previously expected deficit of 4.2 billion euros. This is apparent from the implementation report of the 2021 budget that Flemish Minister of Finance and Budget Matthias Diependaele (N-VA) has announced.
