Based on the news in the print media and social media that the new management to take office in Beşiktaş urgently needs 25 million Euros, the need to make the following statement has arisen. I am following with sadness and surprise the news that aims to confuse our community and create information pollution before the upcoming Ordinary Administrative and Financial General Assembly Meeting and Extraordinary Electoral General Assembly Meeting of Beşiktaş. First of all, the atmosphere that is tried to be created is that the current financial portrait is similar to the financial portrait on October 21, 2019, when I first took office as Beşiktaş president. The real picture is completely different. Unlike the day I took office, as of today, we do not have any outstanding debt to any of our players, technical staff, staff, or any club due to transfer. In fact, there are football players and staff to whom we even make advance payments based on their requests. On the day I took office, the obligation to obtain a UEFA debt-free letter or to solve the problems of our staff who had not received a salary for months stood before us like an avalanche. At this point today, we are calculating how much cash balance we can transfer to the new management. The point that perception efforts have reached is exemplary. Another example is the claim that we had to pay 8 million euros to a football player who went on the run in the middle of the pandemic. This imaginary 8 million euros is far beyond even the football player’s demand! As a matter of fact, the trial process regarding the issue is still ongoing, and I request our community to follow the trial process as well. In summary, I think that such news made with malicious intent creates information pollution in the public and may harm our community, and I request our community and the public not to trust such purposeful news.
