Flames erupt from moving truck in Oudeschild

A truck from waste processing company HVC drove around on the IJsdijk in Oudeschild tonight with a burning load in one of the containers.

The emergency services received the report around 6:30 p.m., after which four fire trucks with a large water transport with 20,000 water drove to the site of the Tatenhove company in Oudeschild.

Lots of smoke

Images show how the flames are shooting out of the containers. The driver uncoupled the container at the business park, after which the fire brigade was able to extinguish the fire. This caused the necessary smoke development. The fire has now been extinguished, a spokesman for the fire brigade told NH.

How the fire started is still under investigation. No one was injured.
