A fire raged on Wednesday morning at the Lithse Ham holiday park in Lith. Two chalets were on fire and the fire threatened to spread to a third holiday home. There were no people in the chalets at the time the fire started, the fire brigade said.
Firefighters had the situation under control just before 8 a.m. At that time, a crane was on its way to pull things apart to facilitate post-extinguishing. The fire service expects to be busy with that after-extinguishing.
One of the affected chalets was completely burnt out and the second wooden house suffered considerable damage. Firefighters had to cut a hole in the roof to stop the fire. The third chalet suffered minor damage, mainly from the heat of the fire.
The fire was reported just after 6:30 a.m. Wednesday. Around eight o’clock the fire brigade tries to reach the owners of the chalets. In one case, this had already been done at that time.
