Goalscorer Simon Terodde will remain with the second division soccer club Schalke 04 for another season.
The 34-year-old’s contract was automatically extended by a year after the game against Hannover 96 (2-1). This was announced by the Royal Blues on Saturday. In the current season Terodde has been successful 19 times.
“Simon showed from the start how important he is for FC Schalke 04. That applies not only to his performance on the pitch, but also to his progress in the dressing room,” said sporting director Rouven Schröder.
Terodde said: “I’ve said many times that I’d like to play for the club longer. Schalke 04 is a special club.”
