Fix: Breel Embolo changes from Borussia Mönchengladbach to AS Monaco – small transfer plus

“Wish to do something new”

Now it’s official: Breel Embolo is leaving Borussia Mönchengladbach and joining AS Monaco. As the Ligue 1 club reported on Friday evening, the 25-year-old attacker signed a contract until 2026. Since his working paper with the “foals” was originally valid for one year, the Swiss national player will have to pay a fee, which is reportedly should be over 12 million euros.

The Gladbachers are thus generating a small plus with the sale of Embolos, which was committed by FC Schalke 04 in 2019 for 11 million euros. Embolo is one of the ten most expensive sales by the Lower Rhine club. After Takumi Minamino, Embolo is the second reinforcement for the Monegasque team this summer.
