There has been speculation about a change in recent weeks, but now it’s fixed: Ramy Bensebaini is moving from Borussia Mönchengladbach to Borussia Dortmund. The 28-year-old left-back has signed for the Black and Yellows until 2027 and will take over from Raphaël Guerreiro, who is leaving the club. The Algerian, with a market value of 20 million euros, will join the “foals” on a free transfer after the end of his contract and is the first new signing at BVB for the coming season.
“Ramy is a player in his prime, he has gained a lot of national and international experience in the Bundesliga, French Ligue 1, the Champions League and the Europa League and is also an integral part of his home country’s selection. We are sure that his sporting development is not over yet. In our talks with him, we saw the unconditional desire to attack with Borussia Dortmund and play for titles. We’re really looking forward to working with a professional who has a good balance between defensive and offensive play,” said sporting director Sebastian Kehl.
