Five suspects were arrested this week in Hoogeveen at a possible drug location. According to a police spokesperson, these five are in full restriction. This means that they are not allowed to have contact with the outside world and can only communicate with their own lawyer.

Due to the complete restriction, the police spokesperson also says that he does not want to provide any further information about the case.

In a cocaine laundry, criminals remove cocaine from goods by washing them with chemicals. Five years ago, a large cocaine laundry was busted in Nijeveen, where the perpetrators washed smuggled drugs from charcoal. A total of sixteen suspects were arrested for this, the majority of whom came from Colombia.

The police are investigating the case in Hoogeveen. Early next week, the five suspects will be brought before the examining magistrate, who will decide whether they will remain in custody longer.
