İlhan İrem (67), a veteran of Turkish music, passed away in a private hospital in Maslak last week. Actress Zeynep Beşerler rebelled against those who did not donate organs with the messages she published on her social media account after the artist, who was hospitalized and connected to a dialysis machine in 2016, died due to kidney failure.
“HOW MANY OF YOU HAVE SHARED ON BEHALF OF ORGAN DONATION”
Saying, “Unfortunately, the person who went in this country is valuable,” said the actor, “Sorry, but for İlhan İrem, who has been treated at the dialysis center in Levent for years, how many of you shared a post to support organ donation? I wonder how so many people were unaware.”
“IT’S NOT blaming, it’s critique”
The actor tweeted, “There has been news of İlhan İrem’s illness a few times. There has never been news of ‘awaiting kidney’. The news was made. Besides, what I wrote is not an accusation, it’s a criticism.”
“IT WAS NOT IN A CONDITION TO BE TRANSFERRED”
Onur Akay, who is known as ‘Disaster Tellalı’ due to the news of illness and death he announced from the art world, is the doctor of the master artist Prof. Dr. İbrahim Özkan Akıncı’s statements, ‘organ donation’ and the unknowns in the treatment process were carried to his corner. Here is Akay’s article…
After the death of our esteemed artist İlhan İrem, who has kidney failure, news that he was waiting for an organ transplant came to the fore on social media. Comments such as ‘I wish a kidney transplant could be performed’ were written, saying that both artist friends were not loyal and professional associations were not interested, and harsh criticism was made. In addition, it was written in the comments that there was no sharing for İlhan İrem in order to support organ donation.
His doctor is Prof. Dr. İbrahim Özkan Akıncı said, “In recent years, there was heart failure and respiratory distress accompanying kidney failure. He had been in intensive care for the last two months. The organ was not on the waiting list, it was not in a position to have an organ transplant,’ he put an end to these claims.
THE TREATMENT COST FIVE MILLION TL!
İlhan İrem’s treatment had actually been going on for three years, during which five million TL was spent for his treatment, and these costs were covered by MSG’s health insurance. So the trade unions did everything they could. Those who are curious can call MSG and investigate the issue.
His will was fulfilled
İlhan İrem, who passed away due to kidney failure in the hospital where he was treated, had willed that his coffin be wrapped in the Turkish flag, that a ceremony be held at Atatürk Cultural Center and that he be buried in the Aşiyan Cemetery.
The artist, who has created unforgettable works such as ‘I Can’t Talk’ ‘You Can Understand’ ‘It’s a Pity For Tomorrow’, was sent off on his last journey after the ceremony held at Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) on Saturday, July 30th. All three wills of the famous singer were fulfilled.
