Five injured in shooting in Marbella beach club, possible Dutch perpetrator NOW

At least five people were injured in a fight in a crowded disco in Marbella, Spain. Firearms and knives were used during the fight.

The Spanish police, according to the AD a Dutchman arrested who is suspected of having shot. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs could not yet confirm this, but reports that it has not yet received a request for assistance.

Spanish media report that a forty-year-old man has been arrested as a suspect, but do not state his nationality. Eyewitnesses say the assailant was stabbed and sustained life-threatening injuries. He would have been the sole shooter.

The incident happened at the Opium Beach Club disco, which is located on the beach on the eastern edge of the city center. According to local media, there was an argument in the night from Sunday to Monday, in which people attacked each other with firearms and stabbing weapons. Then panic broke out in the club.

A 32-year-old woman is said to have been seriously injured by a bullet and is in intensive care. A 32-year-old Irish man is also said to be in hospital with a gunshot wound.

Three other men were also taken to hospital, but with less serious injuries. A 19-year-old man is said to have a graze to his hip, a 36-year-old man reportedly has injuries to his back.
