Hertha has to compete at RB Leipzig on Saturday. The statistics do not necessarily speak for the Berliners.
Hertha BSC is one of RB Leipzig’s favorite opponents. The Leipzig team won ten of the twelve Bundesliga duels with just one defeat. The goal difference is 45:12. That makes a goal average of 3.75 per game.

It was sticky in the pre-season for the capital club. In the first leg in the Red Bull Arena, Leipzig won 6-0. Hertha was warned for the second leg, but still went down 6-1 in the Olympic Stadium.
Hertha is also a welcome opponent for Timo Werner. In eight games against the Berliners, the national striker recorded twelve points (eight goals/four assists).

After the 3-0 against ex-club Borussia Dortmund, the 4-0 against friend Thomas Letsch and VfL Bochum it comes for Marco Rose after the 1-1 draw at ex-club Mainz again to a buddy duel. Hertha’s coach Sandro Black and Rose once lived in Mainz in a shared flat. Rose is Schwarz’s best man and his son’s godfather, and Schwarz is Rose’s daughter’s godfather.
The recently strong reserve goalkeeper Janis Blaswich now has his own protection. RB Örjan Nyland signed after regular keeper Peter Gulacsi ruptured his cruciate ligament. The Norwegian national goalkeeper is in the Bundesliga squad for the first time against Hertha.
