Five drivers caught under the influence in 28 hours: PZ Polder reacts indignantly

Between Friday night and Saturday morning, the Polder police zone caught five drivers driving under the influence. Four of them were found to be under the influence of drugs. One driver was immediately sentenced to a fine of EUR 1,269.60. The other three have lost their driver’s license for 15 days. A fifth driver was driving under the influence of alcohol, he also had to surrender his driver’s license for 15 days.

The police zone is outraged. “Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol is one of the main causes of traffic accidents and endangers other road users,” it said. “The Polder police zone will continue to work on the road safety of every road user. You can be checked at any time and any place in the police zone.”
