FIVB maintains exclusion of Russia and Belarus

The World Volleyball Federation (FIVB) is sticking to its exclusion of Russia and Belarus because of the aggressive war in Ukraine.

Until further notice, no national teams, clubs, officials or beach volleyball and snow volleyball athletes from the two countries are allowed to take part in international and continental events, the association announced.

The governing body decided this again at its meeting in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, which corresponds to the recommendations of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). In addition, Russia and Belarus will no longer be ranked in the world for the duration of their suspension. Ranking points were frozen in October.
