Fish mortality: Pump aerated pond in ‘t Veld

A large pump on the fish pond now ensures that the water is sufficiently aerated so that the fish receive sufficient oxygen. Due to the low water level, a natural dam had also been created in the pond. A contractor has meanwhile made a breach so that the fish can swim from the smaller to the large pond again. It was N-VA provincial councilor Kurt Himpe from Izegem who sounded the alarm last week.
