Before the long-awaited city derby in the Berlin Olympic Stadium, Union coach Urs Fischer spoke about the importance of the game, what he expects from his team and how he wants to achieve the new goal for the season.

… the newly formulated goal for the season: “We want to try to get up to fifth or sixth place. There is still something possible. But it could also be that seventh place is enough for the Conference League again. We need roughly the same mark as last year.”
… sold out Olympic Stadium: “It will be unusual for me. We haven’t had that yet. It’s also something new for a lot of my guys.”
… three derbies in one season: “Derbies are very special games, with a lot of emotions for the fans. I’m going to be a bit sober. I don’t even know if I’ve ever played three derbies in one year. You definitely have to look back a long way.”
