First World Cup final on vault ends for gymnast De Munck in sixth, Veerman in fifth

He made history in September by winning a Dutch European Championship medal for the first time in horse vaulting. Gymnast Loran de Munck from Haarlem failed to surprise again today, he finished sixth in Liverpool in his first World Cup final. Sanna Veerman from Volendam finished fifth at the bridge.

The start of the 23-year-old Haarlemmer was excellent. He kept the rhythm well and seemed to be on his way to a good score. However, he lost his balance and fell from the horse. As a result, a full point was deducted from his score. Ultimately, this resulted in his final placing in sixth.

Ferryman

The 20-year-old Volendam Veerman was on bridge in the final. She had qualified sixth for this final battle in Liverpool. Her score proved sufficient for fifth place in the final standings. Naomi Visser, the other participant from the Netherlands, finished seventh in the final.
