The HSV women celebrated their first win of the season in the Bundesliga. At RB Leipzig, the climber achieved a 1-0 (0: 0) success on Thursday evening. The only 17-year-old Lotta Wrede cheered the HSV attachment. It was the first Bundesliga victory in 13 years.
The decisive scene was in the 77th minute. Wrede processed a wide flank of the right outer lane technically strong and then went into the open space with conviction, which the Leipziger Nikoline Dudek had offered her by false to the ball’s flight curve. Wrede gave in another opponent, pulled off and was then allowed to be celebrated. 1: 0 for the HSV women.
And the team of trainer Liese Brancao no longer gave this lead. The guests were lucky in the 90th minute when Marleen Schimmer put the ball on the crossbar with a free kick.
“I am happy and proud. I already knew that we are in the right direction after three four games. The girls make a great job, and today they rewarded themselves,” said Brancao in an interview with the NDR.
HSV women before in aluminum happiness
The hosts had more of the game until the break. But the consequence was missing in the attack, so it went into the break without goals. First, ex-Hamburg-based Lisa Baum failed on the outside network (21st). Then Emilia Asgeirsdottir failed (25th) and Julia Landenberger headed over the goal after a corner (27th). Shortly after the break, Hamburg’s Mia Büchele (48th) scored the top edge of the latte from 18 meters. The HSV was now much more courageous and made the game more balanced than in the first 45 minutes.
Five points after four game days
It has been the first victory in the Bundesliga for 13 years for the Hamburg women. The HSV women had won their first point win at the start of the season in a furious home game against VfL Wolfsburg (3: 3). After four match days, the promoted team can now show respectable five points.
Both Bundesliga rivals met for the second time this year. The first duel was part of the season preparation and was held in Haldensleben on August 16. Thanks to a goal by Persis Oteng (69th), Leipzig kept the upper hand 1-0. The current success of the Hamburgers is of course much more important.
