The start of production comes just two weeks after the American company received permission from the local authorities.
New owners
The first cars will arrive from the Grünheide factory next Tuesday. These are then festively handed over to the new owners. Tesla boss Elon Musk may also be present.
The factory in Grünheide, east of Berlin, is Tesla’s first in Europe. Commissioning approval was delayed because Musk decided to add a battery factory to the plans for the complex. Finally, at the beginning of March, the green light came.
