First store in Belgium: Tedi continues expansion

Tedi is starting in another country. The Dortmund retailer’s first store in Belgium will open on Saturday. The store is located in the T-Forum shopping center in Tongeren in the Limburg region, Tedi announced on Friday.

The sales area of ​​the Tedi store covers around 840 square meters. Here, the retailer offers its customers a wide selection of decorative items, household goods and stationery, among other things. The Tongeren branch is expected to attract visitors from the Liège catchment area in particular.

“We are proud to be able to announce the third new market entry this year with Belgium. Tedi is now present in 15 European countries – we are continuing our expansion course and growing against the trend,” says Silvan Wohlfarth, CEO of Tedi. “This shows that our business model is sustainable even in difficult economic times.”

The branch in Tongeren should not remain the only one in Belgium, in the long term there is potential for up to 200 branches, explained Wohlfarth.
