On Friday, the Flemish government concluded a so-called ‘Remediation Association’ with various action groups to tackle the PFAS pollution in Zwijndrecht. It has been agreed to tackle the contamination thoroughly from the start. That means as little shifting as possible with contaminated soil and as much disposal and remediation as possible. Lantis hopes to be able to restart the Oosterweelwerf in February or March.
