First snowman of this winter, Meggy turns it into a work of art

Suddenly the garden at Meggy Lemmens in Riethoven was covered with a thin layer of snow on Saturday morning. The 10-year-old didn’t hesitate for a moment and immediately went outside to build a snowman. It may well be the first Brabant snowman of this winter.

She had to scrape all the snow off the table outside. “It was only a tiny bit of snow, but it worked out,” she says proudly. In the garden she also collected some things to decorate the doll. Meggy: “With twigs I gave the snowman arms.”

Freezing cold
The snowman will probably stay there for a while. The temperature will barely rise above freezing on Saturday. It will be even colder in Brabant in the coming days. In clear weather, it can drop to six degrees below zero at night. According to weatherwoman Roosmarijn Knol from Weerplaza, we may even be able to skate on natural ice on Wednesday.
