In this plan, the final MFC will be built on the sports park next to the sports hall. The club building of football association KSC is now located there with the associated parking lot. In this variant, the MFC forms one accommodation with the sports hall, creating a direct connection. According to the study, this is where the opportunity lies with the MFC to accentuate the entrance to Schoonoord. “The MFC is located on the border of the built-up area and one of the main access roads of the village.”
This construction project will be built in phases, with housing for education as the highest priority. The new building for education will be done first, in the same place next to the sports hall. The view of the buildings of the football club disappears as a result, but the club can continue to use them.
The building can then be expanded with spaces for social associations and sports clubs. During that period, the football club will need temporary accommodation somewhere else. Ultimately, a single building will be created for all parties. The tennis courts and korfball fields can possibly also be moved to the sports park.
