Cordoba (AP) – Tennis professional Yannick Hanfmann was eliminated in the first round of the ATP tournament in Cordoba.
The 30-year-old from Karlsruhe was beaten by Argentinian Juan Ignacio Londero 3:6, 4:6 in the clay court event. This means that there are no longer any German tennis players at the event, which is endowed with 430,530 dollars.
The Austrian Dominic Thiem had canceled his participation in Argentina at short notice. The 2020 US Open champion must therefore continue to wait for his comeback after his wrist injury. Thiem has not played a game since June 2021.
