The Frenchman Clement Noel leads after the first round of the slalom in Madonna di Campiglio. Linus Straßer missed the top ten and needs to catch up in the second race.
Clement Noel was the fastest in the first round of the slalom in the Dolomites. The Frenchman crossed the finish line in 47.96 seconds and goes into the second run as the leader. He is followed by the Norwegian Timon Haugan, who was in the top group with the high start number 15 (+0.37). This meant that the Norwegian was within a hundredths as fast as the Swiss Loic Meillard, who had opened the race.

Straßer finished on the podium half a second behind
Linus Straßer, who finished third on the podium last year, didn’t have an ideal ride. The man from TSV 1860 Munich drove almost flawlessly, but missed the fastest ten runners (+0.97). He goes into the decision in 14th place, but is only half a second behind the podium. There is still a lot left for the 31-year-old in the second round.
This also applies to two other Germans. Anton Tremmel pushed out his compatriot Sebastian Holtzmann (+1.34) and goes into the final in 17th place (+1.18). Fabian Himmelsbach was eliminated.
There isn’t much separating the top group either. The first six are also only half a second apart. The final should be exciting.
