Rumms verdict in the capital! Painting gluer Maja Winkelmann was sentenced to four months in prison – without parole! The first prison sentence for climate chaos in Berlin ever!
The member of the protest group “Last Generation” had glued himself to the frame of a priceless work of art in the picture gallery (Tiergarten): “Rest on the Flight into Egypt” by Lucas Cranach the Elder (1472-1553). A comparable work by the master of the German Renaissance was auctioned at Sotheby’s in 2015 for 13 million euros.

The art gluer was also involved in sieges of the Berlin city highway.
