The coronation for Linn Kazmaier in gold: after three silver medals and one bronze medal, the 15-year-old has now won the middle distance in cross-country skiing at the Paralympics in Beijing.
Kazmaier 39.5 seconds ahead of Yue Wang
On Saturday (03/12/2022) the teenager from the Römerstein ski guild with guide Florian Baumann had a 39.5 second lead over Chinese Yue Wang with guide Yalin Li after ten kilometers and jumped in the air with both skis at the finish line. Kazmaier is the second youngest athlete at the entire Beijing Games.
Bronze winner Carina Edlinger also made it onto the podium with guide Lorenz Josef Lampl from Austria. Johanna Recktenwald from St. Wedel with guide Valentin Haag took fifth place.
