Italy’s battered soccer record champions Juventus Turin won again in Serie A for the first time after points were deducted. After three games without a win, Massimiliano Allegri’s team easily won 3-0 (2-0) at US Salernitana on Tuesday and moved up to tenth place in the table with 26 points.
Dusan Vlahovic (26th, penalty kick / 47th) and the former Frankfurter Filip Kostic (45th) scored the goals for the old lady, who had recently reached the semi-finals of the national cup. In the league, the 36-time champion is twelve points behind the international places.
Juventus had recently been deducted 15 points for alleged accounting fraud in connection with player transfers. The club has lodged an appeal with the Supreme Sports Court of the Italian Olympic Committee CONI.
